As we all know, Polaroid film has stopped being manufactured. Luckily, Fujifilm has taken it upon themselves to create a new instant film camera. I love my Fujifilm Mini Instax.... although the pictures are considerably smaller, Fujifilm has recently created a bigger version of the camera. You can purchase the camera on Urban Outfitters I suggest getting it from Lomography(cheaper)

Vahagn Setian Fashion Show

On Sunday night I attended a fashion show with some friends. This was the 2nd annual fashion show in honor of Vahagn Setian. He was killed in a car crash by Prison Break star Lane Garrison (who was drunk driving). Many people showed up to show their support and enjoy the entertainment. There was a fashion show, auction and some musical performances too. The highlight of the night would have to be a performance by Carolina Liar.

Sonic Youth Makes a Comeback

Earlier this week, on April 28, Sonic Youth released its first album since 2006. Called "The Eternal", their new album features a moderately-good selection of Sonic Youth's newest works, though it does not quite compare to its older albums like "Goo". "The Eternal" has a more alternative genre, similar to its newer album "Rather Ripped". Though I did not manage to get a full listen to the album, I got a sneak preview of some songs on YouTube that you may view.

Flower Children

I was completely awe-struck by this amazing novel. It shows an extremely accurate account of childhood. The calming flow of words perfectly portrays the '70s through the eyes of free-frolicking children. This novel helps capture laughter and joy in times of havoc.

New Fashion

I absolutely love the new Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 09 collection. The high-waisted look helps add a particular emphasis to the gorgeous tops. Check it out Here . Also, I noticed that there was a particular number that reminded me of a recent outfit Lady Gaga wore. See the similarity?- Well, minus the umbrella and over-the-top boots. It seems like hats are back in style.

Tickets for Coldplay and Kings of Leon are running out fast!
I'm pretty excited to see U2. I love their new album, No Line on the Horizon, although it's not as amazing as their past ones.

Mika Experience

Last week, my friends and I scored some free tickets to an acoustical performance by Mika. I am surprised to say it was COMPLETELY worth waiting in line a total of 4 hours (for the tickets/show). He is an amazing performer and I'm glad he's back.Both nights, Perez and Mika showed up in an ice cream truck. Turns out the owner (Mathew) travels the country handing out free ice cream at events (he only earns money through sponsors).Personally, I think that's a pretty cool career choice.
